Georgia Trotman was a Detective Constable in Central Police.

Background[]

Personal[]

Photographs in her family home suggest Trotman was a keen equestrian when she was younger, winning multiple awards. She also appeared to be skilled at pool.

Professional[]

Prior to the events of the second series, Trotman worked in the Armed Robbery unit. She then transferred to AC-12.

Series 2[]

The Ambush[]

After DC Kate Fleming refuses to be a part of the investigation of DI Lindsay Denton (due to her involvement with Richard Akers), Trotman is assigned as DS Steve Arnott's new partner. Upon introduction, she is mistakenly referred to as "Georgina" by Superintendent Ted Hastings. She conducts the first AC-12 interview of DI Lindsay Denton alongside Arnott and Hastings.

Later that day, Trotman is taken out to dinner by Ted Hastings and his wife Roisin Hastings, along with Arnott. After leaving the restaurant, the two go to a bar together and end up going back to Arnott's flat at Kingsgate Apartments, where they sleep together.

When DC Kate Fleming observes DI Lindsay Denton making a call to South Central Hospital, she informs Trotman and Arnott back at the AC-12 Building, who decide to respond to ensure the safety of the hospitalised witness. En route, they are informed by Superintendent Ted Hastings that he has been unable to contact the Strategic Firearms Command unit assigned to protect the ward, and that they need to get there as soon as possible.

Arriving at the hospital, Trotman puts on her police stab vest with Arnott, and the two run to the ward without further arming themselves. Upon entering, they remark that the Authorised Firearms Officers are nowhere to be seen. The two quickly work out that the nurse attending Tommy Hunter is actually a man (corrupt DC Jeremy Cole) in disguise, and rush into the room to try and stop him from killing him. Trotman calls into the corridor for help, but is forced to try and fight Cole after he knocks DS Steve Arnott unconscious. Unable to overpower him, she is picked up and thrown from the rooms window, plummeting to her death.

Episode 2[]

It is mentioned by DCS Lester Hargreaves that Trotman fell 5 storeys, and that the pathologist had to "spoon half her brain back inside her skull".
