PS 9969 is one of several Authorised Firearms Officer's instructed by DCS Patricia Carmichael to intercept DSU Joanne Davidson and DI Kate Fleming after the shooting of PC Ryan Pilkington. Acting as Operational Firearms Commander, she commands a road block and deploys spike strips in an attempt to stop the two escaping by vehicle, but they are able to turn down a side alley, engaging 9969 and her team in pursuit. The vehicle is eventually surrounded, and her colleague PS 7334 (acting as Tactical Firearms Commander) orders them to surrender.
